Jonard Tools Partners with First FOA-Certified High School to Advance Fiber Optic Education

At Jonard Tools, we are committed to building the future of the fiber optic industry, and that starts with education. We are proud to partner with Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, the first high school in the United States to receive Fiber Optic Association (FOA) certification, helping bring real-world training into the classroom at an earlier stage than ever before.

Through this partnership, we have equipped the program with a range of our professional-grade fiber optic tools, giving students direct access to the same equipment used by technicians in the field. This hands-on experience is critical in preparing students for careers in fiber optics, where precision, efficiency, and familiarity with industry-standard tools are essential.

Additionally, we had the opportunity to attend the school’s grand opening, where we met with students and instructors, toured the new facilities, and saw the program in action. It was a firsthand look at the impact that proper training and resources can have on the next generation of skilled workers.

As demand for fiber infrastructure continues to grow, we believe investing in education is one of the most important ways we can support the industry. Partnerships like this allow us to help close the skills gap while empowering students with the tools and confidence they need to succeed. With over 500,000 open trade positions across the U.S., supporting young professionals is more important than ever as our nation’s infrastructure depends on the next generation.
