This simple step will help prevent light and power loss once the splice is complete. This is precisely the reason we manufacture several options for fiber optic cleaners. One of the most popular items in our line of fiber optic cleaners comes in a convenient dispenser. DW-90, Dry Wipes for Cleaning Fiber, 90 lint-free cleaning polyester fabric pieces that are perfect for cleaning bare fiber, connector end-faces, and electronic components. The container itself is made is of durable plastic with a dispenser top that helps keep the unused wipes clean and prevent contamination.
Another fiber optic cleaner Jonard offers is the FCCN-250, Fiber End-Face Ferrule Cleaner. This cleaner is compact and features an adjustable angled head that can bend to up to 45°, making it perfect for getting into hard-to-reach places. The fiber cleaner comes with a removable cap to clean 2.5 mm ferrules in recessed fiber optic adapters or individual FC, SC, or ST connectors. Like our dispenser, this fiber cleaner also has a lint-free, static-free cloth, which provides up to 350 swipes per cleaner.
