The Jonard Tools FC-200 Fiber Cleaver is specifically designed to cleave either 900 µm buffered or 250 µm coated fiber, this fiber cleaver’s quick and simple three-step operation is perfectly suited for mechanical splicing and quick field termination of fiber connectors. It features a Leaf spring scale that allows a user to precisely cleave lengths from 2 to 20 mm (0.079” to 0.79”). It has an ultra-strong carbide blade that can perform up to 6,000 cleaves before needing to be replaced (FC-4 Replacement Blade). The handles on this fiber cleaver can handle both single and multi-mode fibers with 125 µm cladding.

This fiber cleaver is perfect for fiber technicians and fiber splicers who need to cleave a fiber optic cable prior to performing a fusion splice. This fiber cleaver is meant to be used on 250 µm and 900 µm coated optical fibers. The blade on the FC-500 can perform up to 48,000 cuts and has 16 sides/positions to allow a user to rotate the blade to a new position once the blade becomes dull. The FC-500 also features a built-in scraps container.
