Jonard Tools manufactures both traditional and powered punchdown tools telecom or data communications installers that are compact, efficient, and easy to use. The series of traditional punchdown tools feature color-coded bodies to indicate which side is meant for punching down or securing wires into cable blocks (blue) and cutting (yellow side). While all handles are ergonomically shaped and come with a hook/spudger stored inside the body of the tool, the Punchdown Tool with Grip (EPDS-914), which is designed to work with our EPB-series blades or other similar brands, features a comfortable molded rubber grip on the handle to eliminate slipping and reduce hand fatigue.
Jonard Tools’ powered punchdown tools are also designed to help cabling technicians secure wires into cable blocks with ease but have the advantage of having a trigger-activated tool, greatly reducing hand fatigue and the risk of carpal tunnel and other repetitive stress injuries. These patented punchdown tools come with a 7.2V lithium-ion battery which allows them to perform more than 1,000 impacts between charges. These powered punchdown tools also feature a dual-action trigger that operates the blade and an LED task light. The head of the tool also has a quick blade lock and release to allow the user to easily switch from the cutting blade to the non-cutting blade, and the capability for 90-degree blade orientation adjustment for any angled impact.
