Elmsford, N.Y. — During Jonard Tools' 12th Tool Talk episode, hosts Ed Scirbona, Jonard Tools Senior Director of Engineering; and Wayne Bunce, Jonard Tools National Sales Director for North America are joined by special guest Chuck Bowser RCDD, TECH the host of the Let's Talk Cabling podcast.
This episode focuses on the history and the difference between the TIA/EIA 568A and TIA/EIA 568B, where these come from, and how these are applied in the networking and telecommunications industries.
“Here’s a fun fact, do you know why they call them T568A or T568B?” asked Bowser who gave a brief description of the history of the wiring schemes and the wiring. “When they came out with the first set of standards - the 568.A standards - people were getting the standard confused with the wiring schemes. So, they put a T in front of the wiring schemes so when you see T568A or T568B, everyone knows you’re talking about the wiring scheme, not the whole standard... Now, if you want to start an argument on the internet, ask which is better A or B?”
Bowser has more than 40 years of installation, design, estimation, and project management skills in the ICT industry. He leverages his knowledge to help educate, encourage, and enrich the lives of his peers. He is also an instructor and host of the "Let's Talk Cabling" podcast and VLOG, he brings weekly content across all social media platforms in a manner that’s relatable to a broad audience.
